Manifesto

In 2013, the Liberal Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the Progress Party and the Conservative Party, won a historically strong mandate from the electorate in the general elections. The parties have agreed to administrate this majority jointly. This consensus has been codified in an agreement containing a shared set of values and shared political priorities and viewpoints that are the base for government’s policies.

Organizing and Producing Candidate Debate: An International Guide

This guide is intended to serve as a resource for organizers around the globe seeking to hold candidate debates for elected offices. It is based on the premise that there is no one best way to carry out these forums. Civic activists in each country should hold debates that reflect their culture and political system. As such, NDI has endeavored to present a menu of approaches in this guide from a range of countries. The contents reflect ideas and lessons that NDI has learned working in partnership with debate groups to organize more than 300 debates at all levels of government in more than 35 countries. This work is often carried out in close collaboration with the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), the nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that has sponsored and produced all U.S. general election presidential and vice presidential debates since 1987.

Ovaj Priručnik pruža informacije o metodama koje članovi Parlamenta mogu koristiti u komuniciranju sa građanima i pružanju usluga u njihovoj izbornoj jedinici. Priručnik je namijenjen članovima Parlamenta, posebno onim novoizabranim, kao i kolegama iz njihove političke partije. Pripremljena poglavlja pružaju informacije o pristupima koje bi članovi Parlamenta mogli uzeti u obzir. U nekim slučajevima, Priručnik možda govori o aktivnostima koje su već usvojene. Priručnik je podijeljen u dio o strateškom planiranju, komuniciranju i dio o radu na pojedinačnom slučaju.

This manual provides information on methods that Members of Parliament can use for communication with citizens and delivering services in their constituencies. It is developed for the Members of Parliament, particularly those that are newly elected, as well as for their colleagues coming from the same political party. Chapters offer information about approaches that Members of Parliament could consider. The manual contains three parts: Strategic Planning, communication and a list of case studies.
